About Me

My name is Thu, and I am a lot of things. I’m a teacher, a mother, a knitter, a feminist, a marathoner, a powerlifter, a former derby girl, and a makeup junkie. I’m a dog lover, a Jane Austen fan, a big sister, and a Gryffindor. I'm a Vietnamese-American woman who has grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area. OK Computer is my favorite album ever, and I count Daria as one of my primary influences. I cry every time I watch the "Meet me in Montauk" scene from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

My loves are as follows: make-up, running, knitting, lifting, literature, and (last but not least) my daughter. I have many thoughts and questions about a lot of things, and sometimes I write about them.

About this blog:

This blog is called Editions of Me because I have a lot of different facets and interests. I can't commit purely to any one topic, any one identity.  I love a lot of things, and I love to write about all of them. Anything and everything.

However, out of necessity, I decided to start two separate blogs for two of the things I tend to write about most, beauty and books. Find all my new beauty content on Vivre Glam, and all my new bookish content on Transitive Verve. Editions of Me will focus on pretty much everything personal to me - running, work, family, etc. However, all of my previous beauty- and book-related content will remain here in perpetuity.

The title of this blog comes from the Roxy Music song, "Editions of You."

Email me at contact(at)editionsofthu(dot)com. If writing in regards to a specific post, please include the URL.

You can also find me on TwitterInstagram, and a few other places on the Internet:
And you can see more of my writing on Painted Ladies and VINAzine.

Also, I died once, in a book:

Please remember that patience and kindness go a long way.
